What Does Live Your Best Life Really Mean?

Ever have those days where you just can’t get it together? Moreover - ever have those weeks?  It seems like you hit midlife and those days outnumber the ones where you recall laughing, wind blowing in your hair and a complete joy and carefree nature. Let’s face it - adulting sucks! Today I want to talk to you about how to make it, well, not suck.

Living your best life begins with your mindset

But, here’s what I do know….. Your mindset has EVERYTHING to do with how you see life, how you experience it, and ultimately your daily outcomes. Did you know that “mind over matter” really is a thing?  By turning up the tunes and moving your body even for just a few short minutes, not only can you change your physical state, you can change your mindset and the energy you give off and attract.

Hey, I get it - some days you just don’t have the energy to do the things that are required of you: laundry, vacuuming, texting a friend, working your job, and getting dinner on the table. “I get by with a little help from my friends” - really does help. Call a friend even for a few short minutes and laugh. Turn on the tunes and change your energy level - you will find that Stevie Wonder or Earth Wind and Fire can get you through the day (okay…so I dated myself here).

I started this website: Live Your Best Life with Rebecca merely for more positive vibes in the universe.  I tend to be positive on most days.  I figured out at a young age that while life will ALWAYS throw you curveballs and obstacles, it's how you respond to them that make all the difference. Time after time, I’ve found that when I do something for someone else, whether I call, write a note, leave a small token, volunteer my time, attend church, I begin to feel better. Find the postive actions that work for YOU, and lean in to them when you encounter those curveballs.

I have been reading Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself: How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One by Dr. Joe Dispenza.  If you didn’t believe in mind over matter you will after you dive into a few chapters. This book is helping me retweak the way I think about the triggers and the energy that causes me to worry.

Your body plays a role too

But, let’s face it, what you put on and in your body is as important as what you feed your brain and your soul.

Recovering from brain surgery a month ago, I know I needed to do something different, I needed to approach life differently. Not only did I need to stress less (mindset), I needed to focus on moving my body, and pay more attention to what I put IN and ON my body.   My recovery has been quicker than most expected and I know it has more than a little something to do with the combination of mindset, faith, and Zallevo (healthy supplements I put in my body).

Life is meant to be lived, cherished and shared - so I ask myself regularly what am I doing? Am I living my best life? And if not, then I do something active with my body to turn the energy around. Often that looks like, turning up the tunes and dancing with Arnie or doing a short workout circuit.

Living your best life is amplified in community

You see - we aren’t meant to live in a bubble or isolation. And if there was a ‘one way - right answer’ don’t you think we’d all be doing it already?  What I do know is that we can all share things that work for us and how at this stage of life - you deserve to be happy, to live life to its fullest and how to find and share the joy in the ordinary.

So I ask you, what’s standing in the way? What is one thing you are willing to let go of so that you too can “Live Your Best Life?”

We are in this together –

Rebecca
